Water and Climate Presentation by Wade Crowfoot at PARC


Wade spoke on September 30 at PARC (Palo Alto Research Center)  on climate challenges and the steps California has taken  to move to limit the temperature rise to 2 degrees C. Wade is part of the CA Governor’s Office of Planning and Research. Previously he was at the EDF (Environmental Defense Fund)


Mountain View's Carbon Reduction Plan


On September 17, the Mountain View city council reviewed and passed a Carbon Reduction Plan  (1) put forth by Steve Attinger and company for adoption. This is a  framework to build a set of actions to allow Mountain View to reduce its carbon output by 80% by the year 2050.

This bill (SB 350) generated a lot of press on October 8 when the Governor formally signed it. However it passed both houses in September and the ARB (Air Resources Board) had a meeting on October 1 to start a plan on how to implement this regulation.
